Bethel Maine Fly Fishing

Bethel is strategically situated between several highly productive sections of the Androscoggin River for fly fishing. Several miles to the west is considered by many to be the finest trout water on the river within Maine. The river flows northeastward from Bethel into extensive areas of prime smallmouth bass habitat. 

Bethel Maine is a beautiful mountain village on the banks of the Androscoggin River in Maine’s western mountains. It is approximately 90 minutes from both Portland and Freeport, ME. and approximately three hours from Boston, MA. The Bethel Area is home to the Sunday River and Mt Abram ski areas and a haven of year-round outdoor recreation.

There are numerous lodging options in downtown Bethel at various price points including The Bethel Inn, The Sudbury Inn, the Bethel Village Motel, and numerous B&Bs. For those interested in camping, Bethel Outdoor Adventure and Campground has river side campsites.
